Our target

Minnesota Junk Fees targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the public site and the two-step form.

What is built in

• Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible high-contrast focus ring that is never suppressed.
• A skip link to main content, and one <h1> per page with headings in order.
• Every form control has a real associated label, not a placeholder standing in for one.
• Errors are announced to screen readers and say what to do, not just that something is wrong.
• Text meets AA contrast in both the light and the dark theme, including on the navy header, hero and footer. That is computed from the stylesheet every time the site is built, and the build fails if a pair drops below the threshold.
• Wide tables scroll inside their own container rather than forcing the page sideways.
• No content depends on color alone, and required fields are marked in text as well as color.
• Animation respects prefers-reduced-motion, and nothing on the site is visible only if an animation runs.
• Nothing auto-plays, and nothing times out while you are filling in a form.

Known limitations

Stated plainly rather than left for you to discover:

• The form includes an automated-submission check provided by Cloudflare. It normally needs nothing from you, but it is a third party’s component and we do not control how it behaves with every assistive technology. If it blocks you, write to [email protected] and we will take the same information another way.
• This statement describes how the site is built. It is not a third-party audit.
